PUTRAJAYA – Eleven people including former Federal Court registrar, Datuk Zamri Bakar and senior lawyer, Datuk Seri K Raja Segaran are appointed as High Court judicial commissioners on Friday.
The 11 received the instruments of appointment from Chief Justice, Datuk Seri Wan Ahmad Farid Wan Salleh.
Raja Segaran was also a special adviser and legal consultant to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
Other judicial commissioners included former registrar to the High Court of Sabah and Sarawak, Nixon Anak Kennedy Kumbong; former director of the Johor court, Rihaida Rafie; former registrar of the Sabah and Sarawak lower court, Dayang Ellyn Narisa Abang Ahmad and former housing tribunal president, Asmadi Hussin.
Others are former lawyers Zalita Zaidan, Redzuan Idrus, Alvin Leong Yin Yuan, former Sessions Court judge and lawyer, Azhar Mokhtar and Clive Jublee.
After signing their papers, Zamri, Raja Segaran, Rihaida, Asmadi, Zalita, Redzuan and Azhar took their oaths before Chief Judge of Malaya, Datuk Seri Hashim Hamzah, where they will be serving in Peninsular Malaysia.
Nixon, Dayang Ellyn, Leong, Jublee also signed their papers and took their oaths before Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak, Datuk Azizah Nawawi.
